Our Department is committed to advancing diversity and belonging not only within our Georgetown University and MedStar Health communities, but also within the Radiology speciality as a whole. We want to learn, stay curious, and create a space for dialogue and understanding.

Here’s what we’re doing!

  • Established resident lecture curriculum on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Healthcare Disparities curriculum through the APDR
  • Co-creator of the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Allyship (IDEA) Scholars certificate program through the AUR
  • Participation in Breast Health medical care in Southwestern, VA through RAD-AID
  • Participation in the Gateway Exploration Program through Georgetown School of Medicine and MedStar Health
  • Faculty participation in the Bias Reduction & Improvement Coaching (BRIC) program
  • Faculty in the Teaching for Inclusion and Equity (TIE) series
  • Participation in the Racial Justice Committee for Change through Georgetown School of Medicine and MedStar Health
