We are committed to our mission of providing advanced imaging services of the highest quality in a setting dedicated to academic excellence and the provision of outstanding patient care and service.
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is a 609 licensed bed academic tertiary care hospital providing a full range of medical services to Washington, D.C., and the greater Baltimore-Washington region. The hospital is one of the leading medical centers in the region and provides a full range of services from neonatology to geriatric care. The Department of Radiology provides comprehensive imaging services in support of the clinical practices of the medical center and the Washington, D.C., community and has particular strengths in advanced diagnosis and therapy.
The department provides services in diagnostic radiography, digital mammography, fluoroscopy, diagnostic angiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, breast MRI, nuclear medicine, interventional and neurointerventional radiology.
While committed to excellence in patient care and service, we also are committed to our core academic missions of education and research. We have an excellent residency program through MedStar Health, with four Diagnostic Radiology and two Integrated Interventional Radiology residents per year. We also offer fellowships in Abdominal Imaging, Neuroradiology, Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Women’s Imaging. Finally, we have medical student rotations throughout the entire department, as well as specialized rotations in General Radiology, Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
