Salary and Benefits

SALARY: Resident salaries and benefits are under the governance of the MedStar Graduate Medical Education and further information can be found here: MedStar GME Salaries and Benefits

EDUCATION FUND: The Department provides residents with an annual education fund of $1000 each.

CONFERENCE FUND: Separately, the Department will offer additional funding for travel and hotel for presenters at conferences.

American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP): Cost of the AIRP course is covered by the Department. We are fortunate to have this course in our backyard in Silver Spring!

MEALS: $10 food stipend is provided per call shift.

PARKING: Free Parking for all House Staff.

LAB COATS: House Staff are provided 2 lab coats. Dry cleaning services for the lab coats are provided by MedStar GME.

FITNESS: MGUH is fortunate to be connected to Georgetown University, which includes an on-campus full-service gym that is a 5 minute walk from the hospital. Residents may obtain membership at a discounted price. Please visit Georgetown University Yates Gym for additional information.
