Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center provides the unique opportunity for fellows to develop clinical skills and research interests under the tutelage of a large, experienced faculty in the preeminent hospitals in the Washington, D.C. area. The fellowship program successfully prepares the trainee for a leading role as an academic or private practice interventional radiologist.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The objectives are to provide trainees with a comprehensive, closely supervised educational experience in vascular/interventional radiology, emphasizing the performance of vascular and nonvascular diagnostic and interventional procedures and integration of the procedure into clinical patient care.

SELECTION PROCESS
Interested candidates should complete and return an application form together with required supporting documents including:
- APDR Universal Application
- Three letters of recommendation, including that from your residency program director
- Copy of medical school Dean’s Letter
- USMLE transcript
- Certification of Medical School Graduation
- Passport sized photo
Selected candidates will be invited for tours and interviews with faculty at both sites. Interviews typically commence at 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. and conclude by 4:00 p.m. Georgetown University Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center are easily accessed by public transportation from Union Station (Amtrak) or Ronald Reagan National Airport.
