Dr. James Spies, Chairman and Chief of Service, is one of the pioneers in the field of Uterine Artery Embolization. Dr. Susan Ascher, Co-Chief of Abdominal Imaging, is internationally known for her work especially in the area of Women's Imaging and MRI. Dr. Erini Makariou, Chief, of Breast Imaging, and Dr. Sandra Polin perform MRI guided breast biopsies and breast localization. Dr. Vance Watson is a premier Interventional Neuroradiologists, offering a full spectrum of endovascular neuro interventions. The Imaging Science and Information Systems (ISIS) Center specializes in the use of the medical imaging, information, robotics and Internet technology for the prevention and diagnosis of various cancers and the management of chronic illness.
